Don’t feel sorry for the single gay guy after 40. Gay singles can be happy. .  For many gay men, it might be the best decision that they have made. It is fine as  long as one knows you are remaining single by choice and not because of internal conflicts that prevent one from connecting to someone on a deeper level . I firmly believe one can possess and have a thrilling single life by choice. Some single men after 40 are very content and lead fulfilling lives. As long as you aware of the why’s , there is not anything wrong with it.

Here is a list of the Top 11 Reasons why it is great to be single and gay after 40:

11.  You instill Self Reliance as part of your character . To manage independently your affairs will make you stronger. As a history note, this expression, which dates from at least 1828, appeared in a bit of doggerel published in Harper’s Magazine in May, 1854. The first stanza was as follows:

10. You have your personal space. You can cook and eat what you want. You don’t have to share that space. You can watch whatever you want on TV, you can listen to any kind of music  and …you can play porn on that computer anytime you want!….I’m just saying..

9.  Your Money is Your Money. No more redoing the style of the furniture or redoing the kitchen. You can buy drinks for your friends, go on multiple dinner dates or go on a last-minute trip.

8.  You have time to learn new things. Get that MBA you always wanted. You can learn to play golf, sail , etc.

7. You have time to r e-focus on your career and get that VP position and make more money. You can work later and play the PR game because you have an open schedule.

6. You never need to ask permission to stay out late or go out with your friends.

5. You will have closer relationships with your friends and family because you can devote more time to them.

4.  You can Flirt with as many guys as you want and not get in trouble.

3.  You can live unapologetically. You don’t have to say your sorry if you say the wrong thing or worry that there will be repercussions for what came out of your mouth.

2. You can sleep with as many guys that you want to  and not feel guilty for it. You can test out what you like and don’t like. You won’t have to see him again , if it was a disaster. No stress.(Please utilize safe sex with a condom to avoid STD/ AIDS )

1.  You can learn from your past relationships about yourself and prevent mistakes from re-occurring again. You can begin to love yourself  and become a better person for the next relationship if you choose to get into one.You will be fine as  long as you know you are remaining single by choice and not because of internal conflicts that prevent you from connecting to someone on a deeper level . Seeking some soul-searching and finding harmony within  yourself is part of aging forward.
